Sundays are dress-up days

Every Sunday we go to church.
Every Sunday we dress up.
Every Sunday Noelle shows off her pretty clothes.

She enjoys herself.

Crib, room, sleep and separation anxiety (from daddy..)

So I fought and fought with hubby to move Noelle's crib forever.

She stayed in our room for the first year and two weeks and most of the time slept with us in the big bed.

I've HAD IT!!!

So this Saturday I finally got her dad to help me move the crib.

(Future site of crib loation)

We ended up moving the whole room around a bit. It's better I think..

Anyway, the next thing was to train her to actually sleep in the crib.

We did let her cry during the middle of the night.
We set up the child view monitor (a gift from her great uncle).
And we watched her most of the night.

When she sat up in the crib waking up looking around...it looks really sad.

So I took off my glasses and try not to look at her (it's easy because I was SLEEPY..)

But daddy is another story.

I'd wake up and find him sitting in front of the monitor watching Noelle toss and turn.
Or cry.
and he'd come over and tell me what "poor thing" she is.
and go back and watch...as if it's a good movie.
In the morning, he'd rush into her room when I "cleared" him.
Held up and said in sad crying voice "o my...my baby daughter...poor thing...o daddy missed you"

Daddy has separation anxiety....more than Noelle........-_-||

SO WHEN CAN I GET A FULL NIGHT SLEEP WITHOUT THESE CLINGY CREATURES?!

Christmas Party

Last night was my company's Christmas party.

Yes I wore something really "traditional".

So I had to leave Noelle with my sister so that I can party like when I was still, free.

This is what was taken before we go to the party.

Being asked to give me a kiss. (tasted lots of make up...)

After the party, when we pick her up at around 10:30, all pooped out. (she had every reason to be)

Slide

We have a slide being passed down by my cousin.

While I always feel that slide is for bigger kids, my husband has another idea.

He's been putting Noelle on it since she was first able to sit up.
He feels that she should enjoy the "thrill" (Lord knows he's NOT a thrill seeker!)
I don't know where he gets THAT idea.

So anyway.

Noelle has been put to the torture a number of times.
She's not really react to whether or not she like it.
She loves climbing onto it...from the front though.

However, last night was a bit different.

Hubby set her up and asked me to watch her silde down.
Noelle looked excited.
She scoot herself down a bit, knowing that she had to if she wants down.
Held her hands out pointing at daddy
and WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE....

I could tell she loved it a lot.
So she did it over and over again.

Christmas is coming!

Christmas has always been very special to me.
My sister and I would get really excited and always get a tree and make the day special.
After all, it is Jesus' birthday.

Last year, it was a disaster.

Noelle was first born then and while I dreamt about Christmas shopping with her in her little stroller, the truth was that I couldn't.
I couldn't work up the energy to do anything.

So we didn't decorate the house.
The house was a mess from everything that I ate for the first month.
We didn't get a tree.
I didn't sing the in the choir.
I felt so weird not doing them but was still satisfied because I had Noelle.

THIS YEAR!!!
I want to make it good for Noelle.

I'm going to take her Christmas shopping.
We'll get a tree for sure.
Light up the house.
Get her a gift.
Maybe get hubby a gift...

This year, Christmas will be special to Noelle and I.

First blog

Ok so 小小 has turned one already and yes I'm super late and lazy for not starting anything earlier.
I can say I'm busy or tire or...but they are all just excuses!

I enjoyed the first year (probably because I forgot all about the pain).

小小 is very smart (yeah aren't them all?) and loves imitate things we do now.
She can walk a few steps too but sits on her bottom whenever she feels unsure.

She waves bye-bye, said bye.
She blinks for fun to tease whoever holds her.
She calls me mama and says dada to get daddy's attention.
She looks up when we ask where's the light.
She kiss the "opponent" on the mouth when being told "Mmua!"
She says "bao-bay" and pats me on the back when I say bao bay to her.
She bobs her head to music. I would laugh and she would think it's so funny so she'll do it again!
She likes sweet stuff but normally doesn't eat meat too much.
She has 9 teeth now, and she bites.
She loves her grandma so much I have to pry her off of grandma when I go pick her up.
She...

Well I can go on forever but I'll stop it for now.

My boss is watching me haha...
