Preparing for 老爺 (grandpa) to come visit

In my family tradition. We don't call mother's father 阿公 or 公公,
We call him 老爺, and we call mother's mom 姥姥 (I know how much my mom hates that hahaha..)

Well, 老爺 is going to make a quick stop for a few hours either on the 8th or the 9th of Feb.
at the SFO airport while travelling back to Taiwan on his business trip.

Every night now I tried to teach 小小 to say something about 老爺.
I play some clips of him and her together because the book says
if they see it on tv/in action, they get to know the person and believe it's true (ex. Barnie...)

Here is just a warm-up clip of what I taught her.
Basically I asked her if she's good (乖不乖?) and she'd said good (乖)... that melts my heart.
Then I asked if she likes grandpa (喜不喜老爺?) and she'd said that she does (喜!).
Then she fell....typical~~

Hope 老爺 will like those tricks. It's just a few hours...
I wish he can stay longer...but he can't.
小小 misses 老爺~~~

Dedication



Ok I understand just how small and unclear this clip is.
However this is just a way to record Noelle's life.

This past Sunday we were finally able to dedicate Noelle to the Lord.
Something I've been wanting to do ever since she was born.

Finally happened yesterday on Chinese New Year's day.
Thanks Aunt Jean for taking the clip.
As you all can see, if you can, that Noelle was in NO MOOOD in being in front of everybody.
She was cranky and sleepy and wanted to go down and walk away herself, which was just funny.

This is very different from baptising babies, where they don't know what hit them.
This is just the parents decleration of wanting to raise the child,
in front for the whole church congregation,
knowing, loving, serving, enjoying, and devoting her life to God.

I was happy.

Noelle in Action--Nightly Enjoyment

Noelle's nightly enjoyment now has a new addition!

She enjoys taking the DVD's that her daddy has
piled up on the floor because he's got no room to put them
and drop them all over the floor.

Identify

Excuse me while I speak Chinese in this video.

Noelle was making a fuss, as you can clearly see in the screen shot.
(Thanks to Bo's mommy Renny for the tip)

For my English speaking visitors/friends, Noelle was trying to identify her body parts.
So the sequence goes something like this:
Noelle fusses.
Identifies head.
Identifies mouth, then nose when asked upon where nose was.
Identifies ears.
Blinks eyes to identify eyes.

Noelle in Action--I'll Help Myself!

Ok, from mommy's point of view: THAT IS JUST MESSY!!!!!

Noelle rubbed it on her bib, her face, her neck, and her hair...

I don't care if I have to feed her till she's 10, she's going to have to keep it clean!

Noelle in Action--Dancing

This is past Christmas already.

Noelle got a dancing Peek-a-boo elf for Christmas.

She enjoys it very much and always love dancing to it.

I think it's just hilarious how she dance to it and kind of are scare of it when it "boo's".

Aunt Jean was the camcorder and mommy and daddy were the side kick.

Excuse daddy while he sings in the back~~~
