My father picked a song to be the theme song for
each of his four daughters.

Mine was, o wait, take a guess....
"Joy to the world".

I vow to not repeat the same routine when I was picking the song for Noelle.
I mean, can you imagine people going "Noel, noel..." at her?

Edelweiss is a song from the Movie, "Sound of Music", one of my all time favorite movie.
I've always loved this song because I think that the lyrics are very touching to me.
I am always moved by how the song, however romantic,
has that touch of patriotism in it.

I wish for Noelle to grow up to:
Know and serve God,
be pure and honest,
be joyful,
and to never forget that her roots are in China
where her parents and ancestors were from.

(May INS never reads this...and deny me of my citizenship status...ironic, isn't it?)
