I was instructed to take B6 to help my skin condition, Unisom when I can’t sleep and desperately needed it, Tums for calcium to stop the “gas” and help sleeping, and wear sea-band for morning sickness. Then Pam went and got us a Doppler to try to hear your heart beat. Your father was so shocked that he’d get to hear your heartbeat, I knew about it but sure was nervous. Pam looked for you, as we held our breaths, for about good 5 minutes. When she said, “here we go”, I could see your father almost got teary just listening to you. I told Pam it was amazing, but the reality was, I was totally speechless. I heard you, for the very first time! As I’m writing this journal now, I still have tears filling up my eyes. Life is amazing, and as your father feels you (actually it’s more of my stomach K) every night, it really started to hit us that you are inside and growing now.

Your father is really attentive now. He cooks, cleans, and asks about you all the time. We blocked off our bedroom to be cat-free zone. Our cat Chocho was so puzzled and cries constantly outside of the room. I have no energy, I sleep every chance I get, and I couldn’t put much nutritious food in my mouth to feed you. In the mean time, I still love watching the Kings play so much that gets me so excited every time. Your father asked me to think about you when I started jumping and yelling—I tried but didn’t really work that well. I pray to God that you’ll be born healthy and full of wisdom from Him. I want to be a good mother and am always afraid that I’d fail. But with God’s help, you’ll be in good hands. Your father keeps talking about how much expectation he has for you too—forgive him he just wants the best for you! I’ve started to take those really big yucky prenatal vitamins—if it weren’t for you, I’d never swallow them, ew.

I had set out to go to kickboxing classes but I feel weird. So I tested with EPT in the morning. Sure enough it was positive. I was shocked, and later wanted to confirm it with Dr. Funny thing was I kept it from your father too and just when I thought I could keep the secret to myself, Margaret drove into the same parking lot with me while I’m heading to the Dr.’s office. Janet, Dr.’s assistant confirmed the result with me and because I looked so shocked, she even wondered if I even want to keep you. Of course I did. Margaret was the first to know about you other than me. Then I called your father and told him on the cell phone.
